The year 2010 was definitely a great one for
THE BETH EDGES!
Obviously, the four fellows have done everything right so far: they write great songs, which get stuck in your head at first listen, they are touring the country, they are young, handsome and extraordinarily talented. With their actual release “What’s in it for me”, the four mates make sure that this year no one’s going to ignore this band. An energetic instrumentation and Toby’s outstanding vocals lend a special touch to the band’s sound: Indie-Rock at its best, spiced up with humming bass parts and bouncing new-wave rhythms. Although they are only just in their early 20s, their songs are assuredly as mature as those of big and famous bands.
Retrospectively, THE BETH EDGES couldn’t care less about what was possible within their borders. While the rest of the world was stewing over how to wrap up a new album, they created their own way to successfully publish their songs.
In 2008 they called attention to their creative idea for the first time as they released the first part of their 4-piece collector’s album. 1 Album – 4 EPs – 3 tracks each. Finally, in 2010 the diligent collector could put all CDs into his album and be happy about a complete edition of THE BETH EDGES. The final product is impressive. With great bands serving as a model and in co-operation with producer Paul Kinski, the band was undoubtedly successful in making a record with a very personal touch.
This year THE BETH EDGES are heading for Germany to promote the official release of ‘What’s in it for me’ including 2 brand new tracks.
